What is BidMyCleaning?
BidMyCleaning.com is a closed loop transaction marketplace and relationship management system that directly connects buyers and sellers of maid, carpet, and window cleaning services. BidMyCleaning currently includes maid service, window cleaning and carpet cleaning.

How does it work?
It really is as simple as 1, 2, 3! First, use our cleaning calculator to tell us about your service requirements, next view the range of bids and choose one and then finally, choose the date/s and time/s for your service and schedule them on our cleaning calendar and finally complete the payment (you will only be billed after the service appointment has taken place). Why is there an immediate payment if my service appointment may be in the future?
When you complete your transaction we authorize and place a hold on your credit card for $1 but the funds are not deducted until after the service appointment has taken place. If you use PayPal for your transaction we authorize the entire amount of the appointment because it is required by PayPal; however, payment is not deducted until after the appointment has taken place. If you set up a regular service then we store your credit card number and you are billed after each service has taken place.

We review every service provider who agrees to comply with our stringent standards of service based on our Quality Index to ensure that only the best providers become part of our line-up.

What is the Customer Rating?
The customer rating is just that - a rating created by our customers. We rely on our customers to help us keep the providers on their toes. All you need to do is return to the site after the service has been completed and fill in the Provider Report Card. Decide how many stars you believe they deserve and then provide any feedback you might want to share with others who considering using the same service provider. Five stars is the highest possible rating.

Who will be cleaning my home?
You are able to make sure that only people you trust clean your home. We make it easy for you to decide who fits the bill by providing you with all the pertinent information about each provider. You can see at a glance whether they are insured and bonded, how long they have been in business and view the BidMyCleaning rating. You also have the added assurance of being able to see how the cleaning company has been rated by other customers. We require that all employees of every service provider have the highest degree of respect and care for your home and its contents. However, should any item in your home be damaged or broken we require that the service provider repair or replace the item.

How do you screen and rate service providers?
First we verify identification such as social security number, contact details, business aliases, secondly we verify all legal and insurance credentials (Trade License, Insurance, State Business Filings, Civil Judgements) and finally we check all criminal and sex offender databases. Pre-existing and current customer references are also an important component of our rating system and a company who received negative feedback may be suspended from our database.

What if I am not satisfied with a cleaning?
If you are not satisfied with a cleaning, please contact the service provider and give them the opportunity to fix the problem(s) to your satisfaction. After the provider has had a chance to correct the problem(s) and you are still not satisfied with the outcome then e-mail us, so that we can assist in reconciling the situation. When you contact a provider about a problem(s), please do it via e-mail so that you can copy BidMyCleaning. Therefore, we can be aware of the problem. It is ok to call the provider directly to fix the problem as well. All providers participating in our online marketplace are happy to work with you to correct any situation that may arise. In some cases this can mean spot cleaning specific areas of concern or even completely re-cleaning the areas in question. What if I forgot my login and/or password?
If you forget your password, reset it by clicking the 'Forgot Password' link on the login page.
If you forget your email address, try an alternate address you may have used during sign up. If you are still unable to login, please contact us at support@bidmycleaning.com and we will assist you further.

I haven't received any confirmation e-mails - is there a problem?
Some e-mail providers like Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail sometimes move BidMyCleaning e-mails to your junk mail folder so please check there. If you find the BidMyCleaning e-mails there then we recommend you add BidMyCleaning to your Safe Senders List. If the BidMyCleaning e-mails are not in your junk mail folder please let us know so we can assist you further. Just e-mail us at support@bidmycleaning.com.

I need to change the date of a scheduled cleaning - what do I need to do?
We request that you let us know 24 hours in advance if you need to change a scheduled cleaning. To do so, all you need to do is go to the My Cleaning section and login to your Cleaning Schedule and clear the current scheduled date and time and select the new date and time. You will be able to select a new date and time from any of the available slots your chosen cleaning provider has open. We ask you to understand that if you do not provide enough notice our service provider will not be able to fill that time slot and we will need to charge a cancellation fee to compensate them.

How do I let you know my address has changed?
Your Customer Profile can be updated at any time. Just click on the My Cleaning tab and select My Profile. You will be required to login using the e-mail address you used when you created your account and your chosen password. This is to ensure the security of your personal information. Once you have logged in you can update any of your contact information including your address, telephone numbers and e-mail address as well as your cleaning preferences. Any service providers you are using will be advised of the change.

How can I check on the credibility of BidMyCleaning?
We receive positive customer feedback all the time and post these on our site so that you can see we deliver what we say we will. You can also make sure we aren't hiding any customer complaints because we belong to the Better Business Bureau. Please feel free to call them at (704) 527-0012 to check up on us. How much will it cost to clean my house?
BidMyCleaning has developed our unique cleaning calculator to give you an immediate price for cleaning your home based on your specific needs. Each home is different in size and the level of cleaning required. We also offer a range of add-ons to give you additional flexibility. Once you have outlined your requirements you will immediately be able to select from a range of bids and then schedule your service once you choose a bid.

Does the cost remain the same if I choose a regular service?
The first cleaning usually costs more than any subsequent visits so it is more economical to choose a regular service. This is because the first cleaning usually requires more effort to meet our strict standards of clean.

Do I need to provide cleaning supplies?
Our service providers have all their own top-of-the-line cleaning equipment and cleaning supplies. Many of our providers also offer you the choice to use Eco-Friendly cleaning supplies. If you have your own special products and would prefer that those are used just tell us in the comments section when you schedule your cleaning.

Do I need to be home at the time of the scheduled cleaning appointment?
You are welcome to be home to meet our cleaning providers but we understand that you are not always able to be home. When you are scheduling your cleaning appointment in our cleaning calendar you will select whether you wish to be home, leave a key under the mat, place a keylock on the door or any other method you may prefer to allow our service provider to gain access to your home.

What if the cleaning provider is not able to access my home because I forgot to leave a key?
Unfortunately, in this situation our provider will already have allocated that time slot to you and will have traveled to your home. We expect that you will understand that it is only fair to compensate them for this and so we charge a lock-out fee. We try to help you avoid a situation like this by sending out a reminder e-mail 24 hours prior to your scheduled cleaning.

Do you guarantee a specific date and time for my scheduled cleaning?
When you schedule our service in our cleaning calendar you will select a date and start time window. We guarantee that our service provider will honor this time commitment. As you know, sometimes due to factors outside of our control, like extreme traffic conditions it may be impossible to arrive exactly within the start time window but we require that our providers always let you know ahead of time if there will be a significant delay to your cleaning appointment.

What should I do to prepare for the cleaning appointment?
There are a few things you should take care of prior to our service provider's arrival. If you have a security system, please de-activate it or activate a temporary code for the cleaning provider which you should send us 24 hours prior to the cleaning. If you have pets, please let us know in advance in the comments section of the cleaning scheduler. We prefer that they be confined to an area which will not need to be accessed by the cleaning crew. If you have any irreplaceable heirlooms or items of special value please put them away safely behind a closed door or in a drawer or be sure to leave instructions for the cleaning crew not to touch them. In the event that any damage does occur to any item in your home the provider is required to repair or replace the item.

For carpet cleaning, do I need to move my furniture before the crew arrives?
Larger items which cannot be safely moved will not be moved, for example an over-sized bed, pool table or piano. Other items which will not be moved are those where there is a greater risk of breakage occurring, for example electronics, china cabinets, mirrors, water beds. We do request that you clear any furniture surfaces like dresser counters of small items such a picture frames, lamps and other knick-knacks.

What time can I expect the cleaners to arrive?
While it is not possible to give a specific time because factors such as previous appointments being delayed and traffic can affect the schedule, we do offer you the selection of three time slots (morning, mid-day and afternoon) so that you can plan your day accordingly.

What if my scheduled cleaning falls on a holiday?
We will contact you in advance to reschedule your service. You are also able to change a scheduled cleaning by logging in to your cleaning calendar. We require 24 hours notice of any changes to a scheduled appointment. If you do not provide sufficient notice you may be charged a cancellation fee.
